This Champions League Round of 16 Second Leg saw the conclusion to Chelsea's return to the Champions League, following their Europa League Victory Last Season

Chelsea fought valiantly against, possibly, one of the greatest teams we have seen since the start of the millennium. The scoreline alludes to the game being an embarrassment for the blues however this was not the case. Chelsea were undoubtedly outclassed by a strong Bayern Munich but there were signs of improvement from Munich's previous 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Lewandowski bagged himself a brace (10' & 83') alongside Ivan Perisic (24') and Tolisso (76'). Tammy Abraham also found himself in the right position following Neuer spilling a low drilled cross in the 44th minute. The action packed game was not only filled with goals but a brilliant pass and move saw Callum Hudson-Odoi's long range effort disallowed through Tammy Abraham's foot being offside in the build up.

Robert Lewandowski continues his dominance after firing Bayern into the Quarter Finals.

Once again Robert Lewandowski, who many say was favourite to win this year's cancelled Ballon d'Or, ran riot against Chelsea. Munich's number 9 was involved in all of Bayern's goals (with 2 assists and two for himself). His man of the match performance was started off with him winning a penalty which he cooly dispatched past Willy Caballero. Thiago Alacantara and Ivan Perisic also impressed.

Frank Lampard's team need not hold their heads in shame as a few players impressed in their loss. At times, Callum Hudson-Odoi wanted to show Bayern Munich what they had missed out on with several impressive runs and unfortunate offside wiping out a wonder strike. Reece James also had a much improved performance from the first leg. He was able to deal with the "sprinter" (according to manager Frank Lampard) Alphonso Davies well, forcing him to have a much less impressive performance.
