Bournemouth take another step towards silverware after Poole Town win

Bournemouth took on Poole which was a golden opportunity to make up ground on Cheltenham. Poole Town was a perfect opportunity for this with them yet to win a game all season.

Bournemouth started the game positive by making lots of speculative early efforts attempting to test the keeper.
6th minute: Jade Bradley picks up the ball on the edge of the box and her left footed effort sailed in over the Poole Town keeper’s head.
11th minute: Sam Chrippes slipped on a back pass which saw her collide with Poole’s striker however the visitor’s rebound was easily saved.
21st minute: Becki Bath played a square ball however she miss-kicked it and ended up missing a golden opportunity. Her blushes were spared as following this she was ruled offside by the linesman.
24th minute: Becki Bath’s first time shot found the bottom right-hand corner as she puts The Cherries 2-0 up.
29th minute: Katie James stood over a free kick and fired it towards the top left hand corner however it curled just outside the post.
45th minute: Abby Jones received the ball on the touch line taking a touch then crossed it straight onto Katie James’ head, making it 3-0.
Half Time
46th minute: Abby Jones sent a cross into the corridor of uncertainty which was poked just past the post for a goal kick.
59th minute: Jones once again picked the ball up in her own half and ran the length of pitch and won her team a corner. The resulting corner saw Kelly Fripp hit the post with a header.
61st minute: Becky Barron is replaced by Katie Kingshott.
66th minute: Bournemouth have a sequence of long shots with the greatest chance coming from a Becki Bath lobbed through ball that saw Lucy Cooper go through in on goal however her touch let her down as the ball rolled comfortably into the keeper’s arms.
69th minute: Steve Cuss makes four substitutions as Abby Jones, Becki Bath, Jade Bradley, and Katie James are taken off. Replacing them are Katelyn Wort, Hannah Francis, Helen Corbin and Elle Elkins.
70th minute: Helen Corbin misses a golden opportunity as the ball is played to her giving her nothing but an empty net to finish into however the ball rolls through her legs as she goes to shoot.
85th minute: Poole’s captain picks the ball up on the left-hand side and takes a speculative shot however it is comfortably saved by Chrippes.
86th minute: Lucy Cooper continues her goal scoring form, picking up the ball on the edge of the box, dribbling past the defenders and firing it into the top right hand corner to make it 4-0.
